Nieuw team Norfolk in Chance gevormd

Een nieuw team vormt zich rond enkele oud gedienden en enkele nieuwe opkomende spelers uit Nederland en Groot-Brittannië. Dit team heeft de naam Norfolk in Chance en het lijkt erop dat dit team een goede combinatie heeft van ervaring en gretigheid.

Eigenlijk was het eerst de bedoeling dat Josh 'auso' Goodwin en Aaron 'wizbo' Jones een Brits team zouden vormen. Dit liep echter niet goed af en hun project leek te mislukken. Even later vonden ze echter een jonge Nederlander genaamd Ramon 'kONING' van Steenis, die het meest geekend is van zijn tijd bij Team Celsus, waarmee hij aanwezig was op The-eXperience '09. 

Even later vond het drietal nog een Brit, namelijk Jamie 'jaMzki' Bullen. Een ietwat onverwachte toevoeging aan het team, want twee weken daarvoor werd hij gezien bij PlayZone waar hij een nieuw team mee aan het vormen was. Daar traden echter al snel enkele problemen op in het jonge team door enkele botsende karakters, waardoor hij koos om het team te verlaten en zich volledig te storten op Norfolk in Chance. Wat er nu zal gebeuren met PlayZone is nog onbekend, want ze hebben momenteel minstens twee spelers te kort.

De laatste speler die het team uiteindelijk versterkte is niet de minste. Burak 'HAYA' Aydin is een bekend gezicht in de CoD4 community, maar hij is vooral bekend van zijn tijd in het TEK9 team in Call of Duty 2. Zo won hij WSVG en Outpost on Fire 2, maar met TEK9 in Call of Duty 4 liep het minder en had het team veel minder succes. Intussen is hij al eens gestopt met gamen, maar hij kwam terug en zo was hij in mei te zien met het RAGE team op FatLan, waar hij vierde werd met z'n team.

Norfolk in Chance gaat momenteel op zoek naar een organisatie die hen onderdak wil geven en we zullen ze hoogst waarschijnlijk in actie zien op enkele LANs in de toekomst, waaronder de Vita-Nova LAN, waar ze waarschijnlijk zullen debuteren.

Statement van Josh 'auso' Goodwin:

" After a long time out of the game for various reasons, me and Aaron decided to mount a comeback to CoD4 after being sick of seeing players like Mark Horner and Tom Newman achieving success. We have been semi-active for the past few months, trying out various options. In the end, it came back to starting a team from fresh. While Aaron was in magaluf a few weeks back, I was just mixing about and came across Ramon and instantly we clicked and I knew, I wanted him to be a part of our team. When Aaron got back, we had a nice core 3 players and we set on the case of finding 2 more players to complete our lineup. First up, Jamie had contacted me and Aaron about the possibility of joining up with playzone, but we refused to leave Ramon behind and after some more conversations, Jamie decided it would be in his best interests to team up with us instead. Finally after quite a bit of interest for the final spot in the team, I got in contact with Burak - who I briefly played with in WUTANG, a little while back, and he just slotted in perfectly, to complete the lineup. With this lineup I believe we have the right mix of youth and experience to push us forward and reach the top once again, we will be competing in any upcoming online tournaments and with enough notice, we will be attending any upcoming LAN events also, with the Vita Nova Lan being our most likely first event we will attend as a team.

Statement van Jamie 'jaMzki' Bullen:

"Today I'm happy to announce my new CoD4 team. Until recently I have been playing with Playzone but when our great friend Wambo left, it was completely different in the team. We found it hard to play with each other, thinking because of personality clashes (which Wambo controlled well) and it ended up not being fun to play in the team.  When Josh said to me, that he and Aaron are looking to make a comeback and I was offered a spot in the team with Ramon, I jumped at it. I want to reach the top, I do nothing to come 2nd and with Josh, Aaron and now Burak's experience, I can start to progress like I want too. Big shout out to the Playzone lads, looks like they have sorted themselves now and wish them well! Really nice guys!"
