iQPAD vertrekt en voegt een Belg toe

iQPAD werd voor het Antwerp Esports Festival beschouwd als één van de mogelijke outsiders voor het toernooi maar konden deze status niet waarmaken. Ze overleefden de groepsfases niet en mochten al vroeg huiswaarts keren.

Na AEF vertrok Patrick "PATZ" Peuler terug naar SPEED-LINK en nam back-up speler Mitch "Remedy" Wilkinson zijn plaats als sniper terug in. Terwijl er toch veranderingen aan de gang waren, besloot het team om ook hun organisatie te verlaten en zonder Stuart "StuwOw" Jackson verder te gaan.

In de plaats komt Mathias "MaThY" Spiessens, ex-NCC speler, die als AKu zal fungeren voor het team. Het team is momenteel op zoek naar een nieuwe organisatie en hebben zich momenteel omgedoopt als ambient occlusion.

Statement door het team aan tek-9.org:

After AEF we made two difficult decisions. One to leave iQPAD and two to remove Stu from the line-up. We decided to remove Stu mainly due to the atmosphere in the team. We had some problems leading up to AEF and to me the atmosphere is the most important thing in a team and if there is a lot of arguing, the team will under perform and people won’t enjoy themselves. We have left iQPAD as we want a more active organisation going forward, and at times we felt alone without anyone to speak to regarding any matters. Onto the new line-up – remedy was our backup before AEF as he could not attend due to family reasons and he has now moved up into the main 5. Secondly, we have decided to pick up the talented Belgium player MaThY formally of NCC. He is one of if not the best upcoming SMG player around as well as a close friend of all of ours so the decision was easy. We are now on the lookout for an organisation to support us moving forward for the long term, so any org reading this please don’t hesitate to contact me at myles_cahill[at]hotmail.co.uk
