Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is bekroond tot best verkochte spel van 2007. Er werden maar liefst 7 miljoen artikelen wereldwijd verkocht voor PC en andere game consoles. Dit is wel zeer veel aangezien het spel ergens eind November gepubliceerd werd in Amerika en hier in Europa begin Oktober.
